NEWS (16) TRAINING TOOLKIT METHODOLOGY

The CIRCLER European project has reached a significant milestone in the development of its innovative training toolkit for Circular Economy Transition Managers (CETMs). During in-person partners meeting held in Brussels on November 12th and 13th, 2024, WP5 coordinator POLIMI conducted a hands-on workshop to validate the project’s innovative "Training Toolkit Methodology" CETM curriculum.

This methodology builds on the Competency Area framework previously established in WP3, which identifies the essential skills, competencies, knowledge, and attitudes for professionals in the circular economy sector. The workshop aimed to cross-reference and align this framework with the contents developed in the CETM curriculum, as outlined in WP4. The curriculum, organized into comprehensive Modules and bite-sized educational "Pills" is designed to equip learners with the expertise needed to thrive as transition managers in circular economies.

The validation process revolved around ensuring that the curriculum’s content aligns seamlessly with the competencies outlined in the framework. POLIMI facilitated discussions among project partners, drawing on insights to refine the online training materials and make them both accessible and impactful. This iterative approach highlights the project’s commitment to delivering a robust, well-rounded educational program.

The workshop proved to be a collaborative and productive endeavor, with project partners working together to validate and enhance the methodological framework. Participants’ feedback will be instrumental in fine-tuning the final iteration of the training toolkit, ensuring that it is practical, relevant, and aligned with real-world needs.

The Training Toolkit Methodology exemplifies CIRCLER’s broader mission to empower professionals in circular economy sectors. By providing targeted, high-quality educational resources, the project aims to pave the way for sustainable transitions in industries across Europe.

Polimi has designed a motorized tool to track the completion of the course materials, which includes the different work modules, the pills and their duration, the final delivery dates, the reviewers of each of the contents, the different reports and the pill templates. This tool promotes coordination and highlights the current status of the materials so that the process is successful.
