In September 2018 the 6th and final EU Youth Conference in Vienna resulted in the outcome of 11 Youth Goals. And two of them are ‘Sustainable Green Europe’ and ’Moving Rural Youth Forward‘.

The Youth Green Conference 2025 will be a 5-day immersive event held in Austria’s breathtaking Biosphere Reserve Lungau. During the conference, young participants will engage in a variety of non-formal and informal educational activities, including interactive workshops, group discussions, and hands-on experiences. Together, they will explore pressing topics such as climate change, the challenges of rural life, sustainability, and broader environmental concerns.
This project aims to raise participants' awareness of the importance of sustainable practices and to equip them with practical ideas for taking action. Inspired by the Youth Green Charter developed during YGC 2022, participants will also harness their creativity to produce impactful media content—such as podcasts—to raise awareness and strengthen their digital skills.
In addition to its environmental focus, the conference will foster cultural exchange and support language learning, helping build lasting connections across borders and generations.
