Validation of the CirCLER Curriculum and Training Methodology

Advancing Circular Skills in the Furniture Industry

As part of the CirCLER project, the validation of the newly developed Circular Economy Transition Manager (CETM) curriculum and training methodology marks a crucial step in equipping professionals with the skills needed for the furniture industry’s circular transition. Led by the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training (CPI), the validation process gathered insights from key stakeholders, including educators, industry experts, and sustainability consultants.

The findings confirm the strong relevance and wide-ranging strengths of both the curriculum and training methodology while also highlighting key areas for further enhancement.

High Relevance of the Curriculum for the Industry

The validation process yielded overwhelmingly positive feedback, with 96% of stakeholders rating the curriculum as highly relevant to the industry's transition toward circularity. Respondents praised its comprehensive coverage, structured approach, and strong alignment with industry needs. The modular and interdisciplinary design enhances adaptability for diverse learners and organizations.

Interactive and Adaptable Training Methodology

The training methodology, designed for flexibility and engagement, also received high approval ratings, with 92% of participants considering it highly relevant. Its modular structure allows learners to progress at their own pace, integrating theoretical instruction with multimedia elements such as videos, podcasts, and self-reflection exercises.

Next Steps: Enhancing Impact and Accessibility

The validation findings reinforce the strength and value of the CirCLER curriculum and training methodology while providing a roadmap for further refinement. By integrating additional case studies, expanding content on emerging trends, and enhancing interactive learning features, the project can better support industry professionals in adopting circular principles.

With the validation phase completed, the next steps involve incorporating stakeholder feedback and refining the curriculum to maximize its effectiveness. By equipping professionals with essential knowledge and skills, CirCLER continues to drive the transition toward a more sustainable and circular furniture industry.
